September 2010 Membership Meeting

Our next general membership meeting is Tuesday, September 21 at 7:00 PM in the small shelter in South Park, off of Georgia Street. We will be there early with the grill going [edit: due to weather, we won't be grilling out. -MM] at 6:30, and we invite you to join us if you are interested in learning more about the organization.

If the weather is not cooperative and it is too unpleasant to meet at the park, we will move our meeting into the back lounge at Oblio’s 434 N. Main St. Look for an update here by noon tomorrow.

It is now the time of year when we begin the process of distributing the funds we have raised back to the Oshkosh Area Community. Please take a moment to review the following document for information and for an application. Oshkosh Jaycees 2010 School Supplies Drive

The Oshkosh Jaycees are partnered with Washington Elementary School through the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce Partners At Learning (PAL) program (http://www.oshkoshchamber.com/pals). Through this program, the Jaycees are able to provide the staff and students at Washington with support throughout the school year.

The Jaycees recently conducted their fifth annual school supplies drive for Washington. Members donated notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, scissors, and much more! These items will be given to students that are in need of the supplies at their Open House. Washington Principal Erin Kohl has thanked the Jaycees for their generous donation.

The PAL school supplies drive is one of many ways the Jaycees give back to our community.
